But, on top of this, they asked members to make their own mormon.org profile. So, I made mine a bit ago. And here it is!

To Birth and Death.
Today is my best friend's birthday! Elise Raycel Osorio turned 21 years old!! Sooo KRAY! but exciting. I'm so grateful that Elise was born when she was so that I could meet her 18 years later and we could become instant bffs :] But seriously. This girl is AMAZING! I learn from her everyday and I'm so blessed to have her in my life. She is one of the most caring people I know. She loves me, even though I legitimately act like a crazy person for probably 50% of my life. [That number might be a little low.] But anyway, you get the point. She's great! and I'm so glad Heavenly Father saw it fit to put us in eachothers paths a couple summers ago.
I LOVE YOU!!
And on another note, My grandma [mom's mom] passed away in Hawaii this morning. I love her sooo much! She was always such a great example of love to me. And, instead of writing about grandma myself, I'll borrow something Mele wrote, because I could not put it any better, even if I tried.
"In honor of my beloved Grandma, who went to her eternal home today. I will miss her so much. She lived through the Great Depression, and was always frugal as a result. She liked to save things that were given to her as gifts, "for the new house", instead of using them. She lived above Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941, when the bombs fell. She saw the whole thing. She met my Grandpa when he was serving in Hawaii as part or the US Navy in WWII. Some folks discouraged their marriage because he is caucasian and she is Hawaiian/Chinese. But in an act of faith, they married anyway in the Hawaii temple, with only her mother and very few others there to witness the event.
Grandma loved to play the organ, especially Bach, and she also loved to play the piano and sing. She and my Grandpa taught their children to love music, and my mom has passed that love of music on to me.
I always knew Grandma was a woman of profound and deep faith. I was always very humbled and touched to hear her pray. As a child, I always knew if it was Grandma's turn to pray, we were going to be there for a while...and I didn't learn to appreciate how detailed and specific her prayers were, for each family member, until I was a little older. She loved her family with all her heart, and she loved Heavenly Father with all her heart.
She was always quite trim, but would eat about three bites of her dinner and say (in all sincerity!) that it was delicious, she ate too much, and we would have to 'roll her home'...implying that she was too round to walk...which we all knew was utterly ridiculous!
She loved to serve, and after such a dinner when she was supposedly too full, she would quite literally shove you out of the way so that she could do the dinner dishes. The only times I have gotten into a pushing match over who got to do the dishes, was with Grandma! She wore yellow rubber gloves to protect her hands when she did the dishes, because she would make the water SO hot! Sometimes it was fun for my dad and us kids to hide Grandma's rubber gloves, so that way we could win the "who gets to do the dishes" battle.
I always knew I held a special place in Grandma's heart because I was the first-born grandchild, and because I am so fair-skinned, which she thought was beautiful. She would touch my arm, and say, "One day, the Lord PROMISED me, I will be 'white and delightsome'!" I would roll my eyes, because I had seen pictures of her as a young woman, and she was such a babe! So gorgeous!
She had a charming sense of humor, even if it was self-deprecating, like when she would joke, "I could get lost in a bathtub!" Her sense of direction wasn't great, and I seem to have inherited that trait as well! :-)
She took time to talk with me, ask questions, and find out what was going on in my life. She believed in me and that I could accomplish all my goals.
I love her, I love this remarkable woman who has helped shape me. I am so honored to come from such a noble heritage. I can't wait to see her and hug her again! ♥
Love you Grandma!"
And. I would just like to add that I'll miss watching her butter her individual cereal pieces. And I loved watching Grandma and Grandpa interact. They clearly love each other sooo much. And I want what they have in their marriage.
I love you grandma. Can't wait to see you again :]

Day 30.
Day 30: Agency.
Today is the last day of November!! Which means this is my last thankful wall post. But not my last day of being thankful. hah. just thought I'd clarify.
I was thinking about things I was grateful for today and this is the thing that I decided I wanted to blog about.
Why? Because it's all encompassing. We have the power to choose what to do with our lives. To choose who to follow. The power to choose to be happy or otherwise. To choose what we do with our time. To choose our best friends. To choose to love. In my opinion, this is one of the greatest gifts given to mankind in our mortal existence. It's a big part of the plan of salvation.
We're on earth to be tested. And Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ want us to choose them. To choose "honor, glory, and dominion. And eternal victory." [to quote one of my choir songs.] However, they aren't going to force us. IT'S A CHOICE. And it's ours to make.
I'm so grateful for the gift of agency in my life. It allows me to be happy when the world gives me a thousand reasons to frown. I LOVE this gospel! it's true. It makes life worth living. It makes me smile :]

Days 28 and 29.
Day 28: T. Lund
Ok. So this is T. Lund:
He's one of my best friends and has been since like middle school. We go waaay back :]
He's on a mission right now. Goiania, Brasil. And I couldn't be happier about it, even though I miss him tons. But. He'll be home in less than a year, and time is flying. So it's cool. Also. I might see him before I head out on my mish! We'll see what the timing's like, but it's a possibility.
Anyways, I am grateful for Travis because of the example he is to me. He's such a stud. He is rock solid in the gospel and shares his testimony with all around him. And I know that's part of the missionary gig, but he did that before too. I look up to him so much and can't wait to talk to him and hear all about his mission!
I also love Travis because he's hilar. Even if I'm being an emo kid, he knows what to say and do to cheer me up. And I like that we can play sports together. Even though he owns me in the face every time.
Love you Elder Lund!
Day 29: ULTIMATE!
I am SERIOUSLY confused why this did not come up an earlier day. But, as it is the second love of my life, [after cello] I thought it appropriate to dedicate a day to it.
I am in love with frisbee. Like seriously. It is THE BEST! and it's been awhile since I've played, but it's just the greatest!
I'm grateful for how happy it makes me and how at home I feel running around the field like a crazy. It's fantastic.
Here's to my frisbee gang:
freshman year. the year that started the infatuation.
I LUUUHH frisbee!

Days 26 and 27.
Day 26: the HFAC.
Just look at it!
it's a BEAUTY!
haha. but in all seriousness. I love this building. Which is a good thing. Cause I spend several hours a day everyday in this building. It's just GREAT!
True, it may not be the best constructed. but it is a great home base none the less, and I'm grateful to have it as a place to practice, to sing, to play in orchestra, to jam, etc. it's THE BEST!
Day 27: Becs! [a.k.a. Rebecca Johnson.]
This chica is AMAZING! I've been thinking about her lately for various reasons and cause I miss her and never getta see her, but seriously. She's FANTASTIC. and my hero.
When I think of Becs, the first word that comes to mind is SERVICE. You see, Becs is like, the most selfless person I know. I learned sooo much living with her last year and spring summer and I strive to serve like Becs everyday. I still got a long way to go, but it's a work in progress :]
I love this girl! And am sooo grateful to be bffs with her!
Viva Italia!
hah. just thought I'd throw that in for you Becs. But what I really mean is, GO DAL PAL.

Day 25.
Day 25: Jadeyn Glauser [J-Dawg.]
I love this lady! I got a text at 1am last night that said,
"Happy Black friday Pono! You're favorite holiday!..."
It then continued with other stuff, but I LOVE my best friends! They just know me sooo well and love me unconditionally even when I don't deserve it. I love J-Dawg cause of this.
She is just so caring and so kind to me and everyone around her! And she's great. She's a spiritual giant! And I strive to be more like her. I also love being around J-Dawg cause we have sooo much fun together. We laugh til we cry and are just crazy. Recent quote from J-Dawg,
"One time, freshman year, I stuck a fork in the toaster and got electrocuted."
bahah. the crazy.
I've had so many crazy adventures with her! The most recent being a "drive through the canyon to admire the fall leaves which resulted in a 4 hour road trip, going from Provo to Park City to Duschene, halfway to Vernal. bahah.
This is from Peter Pan last year!

Day 24: My Family.
Seeing as today is Thanksgiving, I thought I would share one of the things I'm most grateful for in this world!
I am sooo grateful for my family! They are the best. We're far from perfect and it takes work to have good relationships sometimes, but I love it. I love playing rowdy games of uno late into the night. I love laughing til I cry with my siblings. I love going Black Friday shopping with my mom. I love game nights with the fam and just being loud and crazy. I love singing and just playing music with them.
My family is the best! I'm so grateful for them!

Day 23.
Day 23: running.
Today, I am thankful for runningggg! It's the best.
I got to go running this morning which was so great! except for the fact that I was almost too outta shape to enjoy it. Cause that's only like the third time I've gone running all semester. sooo bad.
But yah. It's great. And I'm definetly gonna try and do more of it. Cause I wanna run a marathon. Before the mish if possible. But we shall see.
Annnd we're not including a running picture on this post. Cause running pictures are almost always unattractive. Even if you're the hottest person on earth.
I love running.

Day 21: Laura Bizull.
I love this lady! I just said hi to her today, and it made me think about how much I love her. I really wanna hang out with her more. It's just that we're both sooo busy. But yah. I love Laura Bizull! She's the greatest. She is such a good example to me. I'm so grateful that I know her and have been best friends with her since high school. Every time we get together we laugh and cry. We're turning into our mothers. but I love it. I'm so grateful to have Laura in my life!
blast from the past:
Day 22: Orchestra.
I've been in an orchestra of some sort since I was in 5th grade. So it's been like ten ish years.
And I LOVE it!!
I was sitting in orchestra yesterday. Playing beautiful music and laughing with friends and I realized that it's THE BEST. I'm so grateful to be in an orchestra at BYU. Even though it wasn't originally the one I wanted. It's still THE BEST!
Well. That's all for now.

Days 19 and 20.
Whoops. Didn't get to post yesterday. Anyways, here are my day 19 and 20 posts!!
Day 19: The Book of Mormon.
I am soooo eternally grateful for this book in my life. The more I read it, the more I learn from it and the more I enjoy it. It's amazing how I can learn something different from each passage of scripture every time, but I can, and I do.
I love this book more than I can express. It is applicable to everyday life. It brings us nearer to the Savior than anything else in this world can. I KNOW that it is true!
And I stumbled across this lil youtube video that I really enjoyed about the Book of Mormon. che-che-check it out!
Day 20: smiling!
To quote Buddy the Elf, "I just love smiling, smiling's my favorite!"
And I really do. I love smiling. And I love seeing other people's smiles. I think that people are most beautiful when they smile.
I love smiling, cause it's such a simple gesture, but it can make someone's day by just sharing a smile. I know this because there have been days when I've been being an emo kid. But then someone is brave enough to share a smile and I can't help but mirror it!
You're never fully dressed without a smile!
This I truly believe.

Day 17: sleep.
Ok. So I hope this doesn't blow my rep. Cause I always say sleep is over rated and that it's for n00bs and stuff.
But despite my constant fight against sleep, I am rather grateful for it. and I sometimes wish I had more time for it.
This morning I slept until 8:30. it was heavenly.
And some funny sleep pictures.
This one I fell asleep in between calling someone and them answering.
And this one was last year. hah. out cold. mid text.

Day 16.
Day 16: imslp.
Garrick, My cello teacher over summer introduced me to this WONDERFUL gem of a website. It will change your life. It is utterly and completely fantastic!!
It's legit the best website everrr! besides maybs musictheory.net. hah. but seriously. This has beem my favorite website since June or July when I first heard about it.
Here's how it works. You click the link below and type in the piece of music you're looking for in the search box. It has sooo much! And then you just print out the music and have free music that you can read through or use to your heart's content.
My best kept secret.
I used it just a bit ago because I was listening to a Schumann piano quintet but wanted to follow my part.
it's amazing.
you're welcome for changing your life.

Day 13.
DAY 13: Ben Walley.
Ben is one of my best frans right now.
He is also my steady accompanist. hah [there's a joke behind that...]
No, but seriously. I have so much fun with this kid! He's great. He's like my conscience. In everything except for french advisement. It's funny. Cause we're like COMPLETE opposites. Like, the only thing we agree on is that the HFAC should be open later... but it works.
Last night we sight read through some Beethoven Sonatas for funsies. It was sweet. hah.
And he puts up with all my crazy mood swings.
I'm thankful to have Ben in my life!
Us, after playing in the MoA! fun.

Day 12.
Day 12: RAIN!
Today, I walked out of my door and it was raining. And I was sooo happy! I love the rain. It seems to refresh the earth and give it new life.
It smells like home.
And it makes it warmer than these last few freezing days.
Things I like to do in the rain:
~RUN.
~Play Frisbee
~Dance
~Sing
~Soccer
I heart rain.
dancing in the rain freshman year: (but I was freaking out cause we had just spent an hour+ straightening my hair.)
I love rain!

Day 11.
Day 11: Christmas music!
It's the best.
I know that most people are Christmas music grinches and say that it should not be listened to until AFTER Thanksgiving, but I thoroughly disagree. I say it's completely game after Halloween.
My top 3 Christmas favorites:
#3: Last Christmas.
#2: Sleigh Ride [instrumental] BOSTON POPS!
and, the best of the best.
My FAVE Christmas song OF ALL TIME:
#1: All I Want for Christmas is You!
Bahhh! I love it.
And I try to sing like Mariah Carey every year. I think I'm getting better. ha.

The Thankful Wall.
So last year in our apt, we had a Thankful wall during the month of November where we wrote down everything we were thankful for. It was great. This year, I decided I wanna do one thing I'm thankful for everyday of November.
Unfortunately, it's the 10th. So, here we go. 10 things I'm thankful for!
The rest of the days will just be one a day :]
Day 1: The Gospel!
I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ and I'm so thrilled and blessed to be apart of it. I can't wait to go on a mish so that I can share this good news with others even more than I already do. It's gonna be great! < 6 months til I turn 21 :]
Day 2: Autumn.
it's DEF my fave season.
Day 3: Temples.
I LOVE TEMPLES!! They're my fave. And I want to go to ALL OF THEM. My fave website.
Day 4: Elise Osorio.
This crazy. hah. I love her so much. She is one of my best friends and is SUCH a rock for me to lean on. She puts up with all my crying and crazy emotions. I'm so grateful to have her in my life. We met just over 2 years ago, and she's prob the person I confide in the most. it's cool. We musta been besties in heaven :]
Day 5: Women's Chorus
THE BEST! I'm so grateful to be a member of Women's Chorus. It's been keeping me sane lately... It just feels so good to sing! It's healing.
Day 6: Mish Letters.
They're the best! And make any day better. It's amazing how much wisdom can come from 19 and 20 year old boys. I'm blown away by the testimonies they have. They're my heroes!
Day 7: Pup, my bff.
I love this kid! and am sooo stoked we're gonna be on missions at the same time. Despite being an 18 year old boy, he's got his head on straight. And I love talking to him and laughing with him. Love you pup :]
Day 8: Being a music major.
I'm so grateful for this blessing in my life. And I thank my Heavenly Father everyday to be going to the school that I'm going to and studying what I want to be studying. I'm very lucky. Because not everyone gets to do something they ABSOLUTELY love. it's THE BEST!
Day 9: French.
True, in our family discussion activity today I was the dog, cause I didn't feel like speaking french... So I just barked like a CRAZY while everyone else did the talking. haha. but Most days, I love the language! It is beautiful and fantastic! And. I LOVE praying in French. it's ma fave.
Day 10: My Job.
It's legit the best. In fact. I'm working right now. And I gotta post this whole wonderful thing while working.
Life is great.

They make me super happy :]

But seriously, Christmas is ALMOST here! kinda. and I'm super stoked!
I'm ready for this semester to end, if nothing else.
Yesterday marked one month til juries/the concerto competition. Woot.
And I'm excited to go home.

sometimes,
I play the cello for more hours a day than I sleep.
I drink water in class just so I can stay awake.
I am super impressed with my friends that are serving missions.
quote from a recent email, "No one has truly researched this Church unless they have read the Book of Mormon and asked God if it is true."
I open and close the HFAC. and I love it.
I think in french.
I listen to Christmas music even though everyone around me hates me for it.
I have five [or more] missionary letters that I need to respond to.
All I can think about is how much I wanna serve a mish.
I don't know how I'll make it through a day. or a week.
I'm obnoxiously optimistic.
Well. That's all for now. I love life! it's good. despite the fact that it gets dark at 5:30. hah.

geekin' out.
Ok. So it's Saturday. I'm in the HFAC practicing, and this kid knocks on the door and is like, "Hey we're playing through Tchaik 5 in the orchestra room if you wanna join!"
haha. I love HFAC-ers. soooo much. I wasn't gonna go at first, cause I wanted to get more practicing in. But after someone else came and told me about it, I decided to indulge. hah. So I spent this afternoon sight reading Tchaik's fifth symphony. And it was sooo fun! And I wish I had pictures, but I don't. I was too busy hard core sight reading ;)
Also. I'm at work now. And the french speaking lab guy that I always talk to comes in here and starts speaking to me in french. BEST DAY EVERRR! haha. I'm so not legit. But I like being treated like a legit french speaker :]
And this morning. I found the radio station that plays Christmas music in Utah.
Basicalllllyyyy, Life is good :]

And I thought playing in the Madsen was sweet...
Last night I was at the HFAC a bit before 10. Like usual. And I was looking for somewhere to practice. I was looking for a big room, but they were all full.
So I decided to just play in a foyer of the deJong on the fourth floor. but I decided to check the hall, and it was open and there was a light on the stage! So. I opted to practice there. IT WAS SOOO EP!!
it was pretty dark everywhere except the stage:
I LOVE playing there. The acoustics. The sound. BAH! LOVE. so basically I'm gonna sneak in there whenever I get a chance now :]
I heart the deJong:
I love life!

Lean On My Ample Arm.
So, for those of you that know me, you probs know that I go through song phases where I listen to one song over and over until I get sick of it or find another song to replace it with.
Of late, these songs have included: Mistletoe -J.Biebs, Elle Me Dit -Mika, and the most recent, Lean on My Ample Arm -hymn.
I just love it! The music is beautiful, the words are beautiful, the whole thing's just THE BEST! Here's the link. Listen to it! it's the greatest!
1. Lean on my ample arm,
O thou depressed!
And I will bid the storm
Cease in thy breast.
Whate’er thy lot may be
On life’s complaining sea,
If thou wilt come to me,
Thou shalt have rest.
If thou wilt come to me,
Thou shalt have rest.
2. Lift up thy tearful eyes,
Sad heart, to me;
I am the sacrifice
Offered for thee.
In me thy pain shall cease,
In me is thy release,
In me thou shalt have peace
Eternally.
In me thou shalt have peace
Eternally.
Well. hah. I know this is not exactly a Halloween related post, but, Happy Halloween!

This is for Becs.
So, background info. At the beginning of spring semester I put a pic of my schedule on my blog, and Becs found it really funny. So, I thought I'd start a tradish.
Of course, this is the last schedule I will post until my my mish!! unless I go spring term, which is a possibility. bahhhh! I'm excited.
Anyway, here it is. Winter '12:
I'm sooo stoked! No Saturday class, hopefully no Saturday work, etc. Winter's gonna be a breeze compared to now. Minus the whole having NO breaks thing. hah.

some simple calculations.
24x7= 168 hours in a week.
3 hours of theory
5 hours of french
1 hour of sight singing
2 hours of dictation
4 hours of orchestra
5 hours of women's chorus
1 hour cello lesson
3 hours of CHum
= 24 hours in class a week.
3-4 hours a day of practicing (Monday through Saturday)
= 18-24 hours of practice a week.
15 hours of work a week.
5-6 hours of sleep a night
= 35-42 hours of sleep a week.
4 hours of church.
2 hours at the temple.
1 hour women's chorus meeting.
What the heck. that still leaves me like 60 hours a week. i do have time to run. and here i was saying i was too busy to run... ridiculous.
hah. well. life is good! the Church is true! I made a mormon.org profile today! it's sweeet!

music at midday.
So last Friday, Ben and I gotta play in the MoA at noon for this new thing they do called Music at Midday.
It was totes ep. Just like this picture:
but anyways. yah. lots of fun. the acoustics were AMAZING! lots of people for an audience [both those who chose to sit and listen and those who were in the museum and had no choice.] haha. and it was just nice to play for people!
I played Bach and Lalo. And an arrangement of one of my fave hymns, Oh Divine Redeemer. It was so fun! I decided that I really like playing for audiences when it's just super chill. I can just let go and put my whole heart and soul into the performance. It's so freeing and healing!
J-Dawg and Elise came to watch me. I have the best friends everrr. And the person in charge, Karen, asked Ben and I if we'd be willing to play again in a few weeks. Exciting! I also wanna sing carols at one of these when Christmas gets closer. I'm stoked.
Well. I'm going crazy at the moment, but life is good. I'm so blessed to be going to school and doing what I love. EVERYDAY. it's the best. I love life.

general conference.
This last weekend was general conference. It's a weekend where we get to hear the words of living prophets as they teach and testify of gospel truths. This weekend was healing for me as I've kinda been feeling like I'm drowning lately. There's just been a lot on my plate lately.
What with cello, theory, french, orchestra, women's chorus, section leader-ing, being a FHE mom, my CRAZY Saturdays, work, money, family, friends, mish prep, planning out next semester, letter writing, trying to make friends in my ward, figuring out what to do for food since I'm on campus all day everyday, finding time to go to the temple, sleep, fighting sickness, etc.
There's just been A LOT on my mind and A TON of stuff to do. All day, from the time I wake up at 5 til I go to bed at 12.
BUT! this weekend was EXACTLY what I needed in my life to at least make me feel happier if nothing else.
The Spirit spoke to me and told me exactly what I needed to hear to make my life better and easier.
I also got to GO to conference on Sunday morning with Liz and Becs.
This is how we scored our tickets:
anddd, when I say we I really mean Liz and Becs. hah. Liz got 2 tix and Becs got 1 from passers by. My grand total, 0.
It was such a blessing to be able to get tickets to that session because sooo many people were doing what we were and asking for tickets. We were super blessed to find 3 tickets for all of us. All that morning before it started, I was bouncing up and down in my seat. I was SOOO excited to be there. It wasn't my first time going, but I just needed to go, so it was great to be there.
Liz, Becs, and I. in front of the SL temple after:
Anyways, I'm so grateful to be apart of the true Church of Jesus Christ. I know that His church is lead today by a living prophet, Thomas S. Monson, and apostles. I can't wait to go on a mish and share this good news with everyone around me! Until then, I'll just have to keep opening my mouth :]
The Church is TRUE! I know it is.
Life is great. We are loved by a loving Heavenly Father who knows us individually.
And. I love bricks:

i heart choir nerds.
So these last couple days have been kray to say the least. I've been super sick and just been really tired. But! The bright light in all of this was choir. I had two concerts this weekend. One Thursday and one Friday. They were sooo much fun!
One of my favorite things in the world to do is sing with all of the BYU choirs. It's like 500 people singing in the DeJong. And it's THE BEST! Singing "Nearer My God to Thee" with all the choirs and the audience was def a highlight of these concerts. The Spirit was so strong, and I just had this overwhelming feeling of love and peace.
I'm grateful for singing and the power it has in my life. It is truly healing, and I have been so grateful that I have the opportunity to sing in Women's Chorus this year. I dunno what I would do without it.

p.s. stage makeup=RIDICULOUS:
One of my favorite things in the world to do is sing with all of the BYU choirs. It's like 500 people singing in the DeJong. And it's THE BEST! Singing "Nearer My God to Thee" with all the choirs and the audience was def a highlight of these concerts. The Spirit was so strong, and I just had this overwhelming feeling of love and peace.
I'm grateful for singing and the power it has in my life. It is truly healing, and I have been so grateful that I have the opportunity to sing in Women's Chorus this year. I dunno what I would do without it.

cue cheesy quote.
So, it's been one of those days, for several reasons. The main two being 1.) I am ridiculously sleep deprived. [There's just no time for it.] and 2.) I am starting to get sick. Bad news bears...
However, it has been SUCH a good day! And I love life! I am taking great classes and I have the best family and friends EVER. So yah. I've just been thinking about this quote lately, cause it's sooo true. Albeit a bit cheesy...
"A smile is a curve that straightens everything out."
Profound. I know.
Haha. Anyways, take from that what you will.
Life is fantastic, even when it doesn't seem like it. Look around. Because there are ALWAYS more blessings than hardships.

So this is gonna be a music post. haha. but what else is new?
We're singing a jazz-ified version of Over the Rainbow in Women's Chorus and it's sweeeet!! I love it a lot.
And on a side note, Sister Applonie appointed me Alto 2 section leader, if I wanted it, soooo yah. That'll be fun :] I getta learn more about singing! woooo!
AND.
In symphony we're playing a SWEET Mozart Symphony. This one to be exact: Symphony No. 25 in G minor. I'm soooo stoked. Needless to say, I was having a dance party in orchestra today :]
But yah. Life's great. Forrest went into the MTC today. KRAY. but sweet.
I love cello and frisbee and singing.

I'm so glad I'm a music major. It's the best thing everrrrr.
I'm so happy!

there's something about singing...
The more I do it, the more I fall in love with it.
It's just funny, because I always caroled and sang a bit with my family growing up, but for most of my life, my focus has been cello, and it still is.
But, this last year or so, I have loved singing everyday in women's chorus. It just makes me sooo happy!! And it's healing and I love it. I've learned so much and felt peace while singing. My testimony has grown as I share it through song.
Women's Chorus retreat was tonight, and our theme is, "Taking on the unknown with courage, integrity, and a high heart." And we ate and sang and laughed, and yes some of us cried. Estrogen on steroids. But I luh it.
I'm so grateful for the power of song, for the gift of music in my life.
I LOOOHHHHOOOOVVVVVEEEEE to sing!!
and... on a side note!
I saw Laura Bizull today on campus [for the first time since being here]! LOVE.

TIMP!
Ok. So basically, ever since I've laid eyes on this mountain:
I have been in love. And for those who know me well, I chant TIMP! everytime I see the mountain, which is a lot.
It's the BEST. And I have this weird obsession with it... Espesh considering I live right next to Rainier in Washington, but there's something about timp.
Liz and I being bears:
Anyways, this weekend, a dream of mine came true and I finally got to hike it. ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP. It was WONDERFUL. I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT! And I can't wait to do it again! It will prob be after my mish, but I'm so glad I got to hike it.
chillin' on the saddle:
We had a few close calls hiking, and I had a few wipe outs. But it was an enjoyable experience, none the less. First of all, when trying to get around the glacier, I was climbing on rocks and caused a large ish rock slide. It was terrifying and Elise was right below me. Luckily, she got outta the way fast. The second big thing that happened was that on the way down, I was kinda booking it, cause I had to pee. SURPRISE!! But yah, anyways, Elise started yelling down the mountain and I couldn't really hear her, but then I saw a HUGE chuck of ice flying down the side of the mountain. "AVALANCHE!" is the word she was yelling. I was pretty close by where ice and large rocks were flying by, so I turned and booked it in the opposite direction. It didn't last very long, and luckily, no one got hurt, but it was a kray experience.
top of timp, I was BEYOND stoked:
I also ate it twice. Once on the glacier, [yes my tail bone is sore today,] and once booking it down the mountain. But nothing too serious. it was fun!
me, amongst the flowers:
Anyways, I'm sooo grateful I had this experience. On the way down, I got the opportunity to pray for a reallly long time, and it was fantastic. I'm so grateful for all the blessings I have. I am overwhelmed when I look at the people and things I am surrounded by. Life is wonderful!
And the Church is TRUE!
