Whad up spring termmm? I'm taking four classes and cello lessons. I'm practicing 3+ hours a day. I'm working 15 hours a week.

And it's actually a lot harder than I thought it would be.

Dictation, Music Theory, and Sight Singing are kinda freaking me out. But here's the thing. I love playing the cello. I know that this is what I want to major in and what I want to do with the rest of my life. I want to have a fantastic private cello studio when I grow up, and I might even want to perform in a couple orchestras. I've spent the last two years of my life trying to get in to the program and I'm not giving up now. So, I just gotta buckle down, work hard, and pray. I know I can do it with Heavenly Father's help.

Apt. 19

So, as most of you may know...

I am not the biggest fan of change.

I know, it has to happen. and I usually end up liking the change by the end, but it's just always so hard at the beginning.

but, anyways, I moved into my new apartment yesterday, #19! And yah, just trying to unpack and stuff like that. i kinda like it though. Gives me a chance to move stuff around. Here's my wall so far:

Oh! Also, I bought my textbooks for spring. I luuuhh them! There are more notes than words in them! bahah. STOKED. oh man.

Today was the last Sunday of the semester. The last one where everyone in the ward will be here. The last one where me and my roomies all gotta go together. I guess you could say I'm a little emo. Elise is leaving Tuesday and Liz is packing up and heading home on Wednesday or Thursday I believe. but yah. I'm so excited for spring, but this year has just been sooo amazing. and Elise, Becs, and Elizabeth have been SUCH pillars of strength in my life. and I'm so grateful for this precious time that I've had with them.

Also, I got to play ULTIMATE with my three lovely roomies tonight. It was sooo fun! And we were all on the same team! And yes we dominated :] Nate, Teej, Lance, and the rest of the boys woulda been proud :]

whad up finals?

Oh man. It's crunch time. 4 finals left. History, Psych, D&C, and French. I'm tired. but excited to be done. And surprisingly excited to start spring. I feel like a new term will give me new energy and life. Wooo theory classes!!

Also, I'm loving cello. Lalo first movement is very close to being done and the second suite of Bach is done. I kinda wanna see if I can memorize it though. so yah. And then I think I'm doing the next two movements of Lalo.

And for next year I'm thinking Beethoven Sonata and I dunno what for a Concerto yet... I really kinda wanna do Tchaik. But I dunno. We'll see.

Women's Chorus Turns 50.

DISCLAIMER: MAJOR reminiscing about to happen, so just don't read this if you don't wanna hear it.

Anyway, on April 1st I sang my last concert with women's chorus this year. It was our 50th anniversary concert and it was so much fun! And I love women's chorus a lot, and really wanna do it next year. I know it'd be a little double O C with Phil, but it's the best! I dunno... we'll see what ends up happening.

Oh. Another thing that brought this post on is the fact that we just got our archival tracks of the year and I love listening to them and singing along and stuff. bahaha. When the freak did I become such a choir nerd?! but I luuuhh it.

I got peuuur!

So, I have my last french oral exam in a couple hours and a half. And I'm studying for it right now. Kinda feel like a crazy person cause I'm sitting at work talking to myself... but whatev.

But anyway, I was studying and thinking about how I was a little scared about this and I remembered this wonderful phrase that Brady and I made up in high school french. It's funny because to say you're scared in french the formation is the subject, the verb avoir (to have) and then peur (fear). So the literal translation to say it, "J'ai peur" for example, is I have fear.

So, in high school Brady and I would always just say "I got peur." to make fun of it. Haha, yah. Sorry for that random story and reminiscence. Well, back to studying.

No. But seriously. I have like 5 papers due this week. Three of them are due today. Done with one, still working on the other two. And the last two are due on Thursday. gahhhhh.

And this semester is almost over. Like a week left of school. WHAT THE.

Oh. And in French we're learning le subjonctif. Makes me remember why I quit French in high school... haha. no. but I gotta get through it this time!! And I will. It's just hard.
